Skim

Plaster skimming on to plasterboard or hardwall is the standard method of providing a smooth, seamless surface ready to receive your final decorative treatment.
Skim plastering gives many of the advantages of a traditional solid plaster finish combined with quick turnaround on site and oftern doesn’t require all old plaster to be removed.
Preparation for skimming involves joint reinforcement and removing any lose plaster work.
The plaster is applied to the wall or ceiling surface to a nominal 2-3mm thickness.
